Why do Turks love tulips and celebrate the festival every year? The Turkish people fell in love with tulips from the 16th century, when these beautiful gifts of flora were brought from Persia to the Ottoman Empire for sultans. Later, the pattern of the plant began to appear on dishes, on clothes, on mosques, on buildings, etc.

Travelers from all over the world come to Turkey, particularly in a fantastic city of Istanbul, to attend the Tulip Festival, held annually in the spring.
