As part of the support program for Turkish citizens, President Tayyip Recep Tayyip Erdogan proposed to increase the number of Toki houses built.

Toki - houses intended for a separate category of citizens with an average or low income. As of 2022, the monthly total family income should not exceed 10,000 lira (for Istanbul, 11,500 lira). To apply for Toki, you must have been registered in the area where Toki will be built for at least 1 year.

Some house projects in Toki do not have a down payment, but for most apartments it is between 10-15%. Citizens are provided with mortgages with preferential lending terms.
